Hi everyone, I am Lin Yuanzhe, a freshman from the faculty of International Politics. Dr Kang emphasized the importance of Linguistic National Security, and I can’t agree it more. Sapir once said that language is a symbolic of ideas. As a result, to learn English is to learn a way of thinking; to learn English is to tell China’s story to the international community and to voice for the country! Hello everyone! I am Lin Yuqi, a freshman majoring in International Economics and Trade in UIR. I have always wanted to become a fluent speaker, so I feel honoured to have the opportunity to participate in this speech competition. I enjoy language learning, and I also like singing, dancing, playing erhu, practising calligraphy, and so forth.
